Cortagen is proposed to normalise adrenal cortex function by interacting with DNA and modulating transcription of genes involved in steroidogenesis. While the bioregulator concept has theoretical appeal, the evidence base consists primarily of preclinical studies and observational reports from Russian clinical practice.
